A person in your life that is intentionally listening to your needs without a negative view of you.

A personal mentor is committed to improving your personal life. The objective of a personal mentor is to teach you how to address your needs with strategies and skills that will enable you to grow into the person that you want and need to be. The objective is to be “there” to listen and teach you how to cope with your stressors effectively.

The specific support of a personal mentor will make students better leaders by enabling them to relate to different kinds of people. Mentors help them develop strong communication skills so they can handle any situation.
